Sun Ten – Trichosanthes & Chih-Shih (Gua Lou Zhi Shi Tang)

Trichosanthes & Chih-Shih Combination by Sun Ten, also known as Gua Lou Zhi Shi Tang, is used for the patterns of phlegm heat and Liver fire.

Western Symptomology:
• Chills
• Cough
• Depression
• Fever
• Gasping
• Pain-Flank
• Phlegm
• Phlegm-Chest
• Phlegm-Retention
• Sputum-Excessive

TCM Functions:
• Phlegm-Heat
• Liver-Fire

Ingredients: Gardenia fruit (zhi zi), Scute root (huang qin), Tang-kuei root (dang gui), Chinese licorice root (gan cao), Trichosanthes seed (gua lou ren), Fritillaria sichuan bulb (chuan bei mu), Bamboo sap (zhu ru), Ginger root, Bitter orange fruit (zhi shi), Citrus peel (chen pi), Cardamon fruit (suo sha), Aucklandia lappa root (mu xiang), Hoelen fungus (fu ling), Platycodon root (jie geng).

Suggested Use:
Dissolve 1 to 2 grams in a cup of hot water to make a tea 2 to 3 times daily.
