Sun Ten – Citrus & Crataegus (Bao He Wan)

Citrus & Crataegus Formula by Sun Ten, also known as Bao He Wan, is used to regulate and balance the digestion.

Western Symptomology:

Shan Zha: a fruit that relieves abdominal fullness and pain from eating too much meat or fatty foods
Shen Qu: an herb that relieves abdominal fullness from overeating or drinking too much alcohol
Lai Fu Zi: a seed that reduces food accumulation, especially from carbs, and eases acid regurgitation
Chen Pi: tangerine peel regulates the stomach, relieving bloating, nausea, and belching
Ban Xia: an herb that clears phlegm and stops nausea and vomiting
Fu Ling: a sweet herb that regulates the abdomen, relieving fullness, poor appetite, and diarrhea
Lian Qiao: a bitter herb that clears accumulated heat

Ingredients: Chinese hawthorn fruit (shan zha), Shen-chu fermented mass (shen qu), Pinellia root (zhi ban xia), Raphanus seed (lai fu zi),Hoelen fungus (fu ling), Citrus rind (chen pi), Forsythia fruit (lian qiao).

Suggested Use:
Dissolve 1 to 2 grams in a cup of hot water to make a tea 2 to 3 times daily.
