Coptis by Plum Flower, also known as Huang Lian Su Wan, clears heat, transforms dampness, and expels toxic heat from the lower body.

Contraindications (all): Use with caution in Yin deficiency. Contraindicated for conditions due to excess cold or Qi deficiency. Huang lian/coptis is a very cold medicinal and can injure the Spleen and Stomach when taken for too long or in excess amounts.
