Gentiana 12 by Seven Forests, also known as Long Dan Xiao Du Pian, clears heat and dampness and purges fire. Gentiana 12 is recommended for people with red eyes, headache, and inflammation.

Gentiana 12 is a derivative of the traditional formula Gentiana Combination (Longdan Xiegan Tang), which is the primary formula of Chinese medicine recommended for acute syndromes of liver fire and damp-heat. Gentiana is one of the stronger agents for purging liver fire and damp-heat, but it can cause diarrhea if used over an extended period or in high dose.
