This classical Chinese Herbal Medicine formula is used for excess phlegm and an imbalance between the gallbladder and the stomach. In Chinese Medicine, the gallbladder energy is responsible for one’s courage and a lack of it would cause timidity and anxiety.

Standard Dosage: 8 teapills, 3 x per day.

Ingredients: Bambusa tuldoides shavings, Citrus aurantium fruit-immature, P trnta rhizome, Citrus reticulata peel, Poria cocos fungus, Glycyrrhiza uralensis root, Zingiber officinale rhizome-fresh, Ziziphus jujuba fruit, Activated carbon, Botanical wax, Talcum.

Contraindicated for Shen disturbance due to Yin or Blood deficiency.

Use with caution in Yin deficiency. Use with caution during pregnancy as Zhi shi has some Qi dispersing and draining actions.

However, this formula may be used in the earlier stages of pregnancy for morning sickness with the appropriate TCM pattern identification.
