Xin Yi Hua and Cang Er Zi are the ruling medicinals in this formula and are one of Chinese medicine’s most famous medicinal pairs for opening or freeing the flow of the nose.
They are aided in this by Huo Xiang, Bo He, Zi Su Ye, and E Bu Shi Cao which also free the flow of the nose. In addition, Bo He clears and dispels wind heat as well as clears depressive heat from the liver.
