LiveEase is modified by adding some special nutritional ingredients that have been proven to help the above-mentioned symptoms. *
Perimenopause consists of the years during which a woman’s body transitions fully into menopause, or the cessation of ovulation and menstruation. Most women start perimenopause when they reach their mid to late 40’s, although it may begin as early as age 40 or as late as age 50. Some women may experience hot flashes, mood swings and weight gain a miserable consequence of decreased estrogen.* During perimenopause, the body begins shutting down estrogen production. 20% to 30% of women’s estrogen production doesn’t cease entirely; some estrogen may be produced by the adrenal glands and other cells like fat tissues, which decreases the side effects of menopause.* As women age into 50s, their bodies naturally produce less estrogen. Some women has the standard symptoms of menopause like hot flashes, mood swings, vaginal dryness, changes in sexual desire, weight gain, infrequent or scant menstruation, and other symptoms.* Combining the benefits of Liver Qi decongestion, Liver protection; Blood deficiency, Liver and Spleen disharmony; peri-menopause and menopause discomforts; anti-Anxiety and Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) support; Anti-wrinkle and Weight Loss support, etc. Al the ingredients we combine here are not just beneficial to the health, but also save user’s big costs if user want to purchase them separately.*
Alpha Lipoic Acid: Alpha lipoic acid is thought to work as an antioxidant in both water and fatty tissue, enabling it to enter all parts of the nerve cell and protect it from free radical and toxin’s damage. Alpha lipoic acid can cross the blood-brain barrier and protect brain and nerve tissue. It is also seen as an anti-aging compound since it can reverse some of the oxidant damage related effects of aging. It is also an excellent Liver detoxification and protecting agent and can help blood sugar normal metabolism too.* Vitamin B12: Vitamin B-12, like all of the B vitamins, helps your body convert the food you eat into energy, builds red blood cells, synthesizes DNA and keeps your neurological system running smoothly. As you age, however, your body’s ability to extract vitamin B-12 from the foods you eat may be compromised, making you more at risk for vitamin B-12 deficiency. This might contribute to symptoms of anemia and an increased risk for heart disease, which are common concerns for menopausal women.* The average adult, whether male or female, needs about 2.4 mcg of vitamin B-12 daily, The Linus Pauling Institute recommends 100 to 400 mcg per day of supplemental vitamin B-12 orally if you’re older than 50. So we add B12 here in this formula at low dosage less than the minimum suggested dosage. Women over 50 need 2.4 micrograms (mcg) of vitamin B12 each day. According to the CDC, about 1 in every 31 Americans over the age of 51 is deficient in vitamin B12. This may be because you don’t find animal-based foods as tasty or as easy to digest as they were when you were younger. The Linus Pauling Institute says that about 10 to 30 percent of people older than 60 have a condition called atrophic gastritis, making it difficult for them to absorb dietary vitamin B-12. Pernicious anemia, irritable bowel syndromes and some types of stomach or intestinal surgeries are also risk factors for vitamin B-12 deficiency. Some prescription drugs can affect B-12 absorption, too, according to the ODS.* DMAE: DMAE is produced naturally in the brain in small amounts, it is also found in high levels in anchovies, sardines and salmon. DMAE is said to stimulate production of brain chemicals which are necessary for improved mental function such as concentration and learning capacity and short term memory. It can help in the treatment of ADHD as well as other disorders that affect central nervous system and the brain. It can also slow the process of aging and can help slowing down forming of skin’s wrinkles. DMAE can improve cognitive function which is beneficial for bodybuilders as well as for individual who requires high alertness and increased concentration. it helps to increase stamina during exercises and also improves oxygen intake, heart rate.* 5-Hydroxy Tryptophan (5-HTP): 5-HTP is not present in significant amounts in the food we eat. It is manufactured from tryptophan, a natural amino acid found in most dietary proteins. In the body, 5-HTP is converted to an important neurotransmitter called serotonin, which helps regulate mood, behavior and sleep. During Perimenopause and Menopause periods, The drop in estrogen levels in the body can trigger physical and emotional changes such as depression, sleeping problems, night sweats and hot flashes. Studies showed using 5-HTP (5-HydroxyTryptophan) can ease menopause symptoms. 5-HTP, a so-called natural alternative to traditional antidepressants, works without side effects. Extensive analysis of several sources of 5-HTP have shown no toxic contaminants nor the presence of any other significant impurities, according to a study conducted by ISSI Laboratories. A study published in 2005 in the “Alternative Medicine Review” found that the administration of 5-HTP reduced the hot flash symptoms in menopausal women. Hot flashes are characterized by a sudden sensation of intense body heat, often with profuse sweating of the head, neck and chest. According to researchers, the mechanism for improvements in symptoms may be due to an increase in serotonin levels in the brain. The daily quantity of 5-HTP (30mg-60mg a day) used in this formula is about 6-10% of recommended therapeutic dosage of 300-500mg a day. So it is safe even for those taking anti-depressant drugs. But for anyone using with neurological drug that has been prescribed for antidepressant or other cognitive purposes, then the health practitioner need to be aware of this situation not to combine taking together or not to exceeding the safety dosage.* Fucoxanthin: Fucoxanthin is a brown seaweed pigment that is found in most brown seaweeds, as well as a few other marine sources. Fucoxanthin, via its metabolites, seems to be stored in fat cells for a prolonged period of time and can induce fat loss while inhibiting fat cell differentiation and proliferation. Although only one human study has been published, it appears to be a promising non-stimulatory fat loss agent but requires time to work like 10-15 weeks. It also possesses other health benefits, such as correcting abnormalities in glucose metabolism in muscle tissue which may help diabetics and might reduce cholesterol levels and triglycerides by currently unverified mechanisms. Reductions in blood pressure and reductions in both liver fat stores and liver enzyme values have been noted with fucoxanthin supplementation in humans. Fucoxanthin appears to target a protein UCP1 that increases the speed at which abdominal fat is burned. Abdominal fat (white adipose tissue) surrounds the organs of the body and can cause diabetes and heart disease. In addition, fucoxanthin stimulates the production of DHA (omega-3 fatty acid found in such fish as salmon). Fucoxanthin appears to be a very promising for fat loss and health boosting agent.* Vitamin D3: Vitamin D is important for all age groups, especially women in menopause and elder people. Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium, maintain healthy bones and prevent brittle bones (osteoporosis). New benefits of this vitamin are being revealed almost every month such as stronger bones, improved mood, increased energy, better hormone performance, immunity boost, reduction in inflammation, supressing cancer cell growth and heart problem prevention, etc. People live above Latitude 37 degree cannot get enough sun except summer time. Lack of sun exposure would be less of a problem if diet can provide enough vitamin D. But there aren’t many vitamin D–rich foods and we need to eat a lot of them to get 800 to 1,000 IU per day. People who have trouble absorbing dietary fat — such as those with Crohn’s disease or celiac disease — can’t get enough vitamin D from diet no matter how much they eat (vitamin D requires some dietary fat in the gut for absorption). And people with liver and kidney disease are often deficient in vitamin D, because these organs are required to make the active form of the vitamin D whether it comes from the sun or from food. Studies show a surprising number of Americans, more than 50% of women and men ages 65 and older in North America — are vitamin D–deficient, according to a consensus workshop held in 2006. If the blood concentration of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3, or 25(OH)D, the precursor produced by the skin and converted in the body to vitamin D is less than 20 nanograms per milliliter, or 20 ng/mL, this low Levels have been linked to poor bone density, falls, fractures, cancer, immune dysfunction, cardiovascular disease, and hypertension. Many experts recommend a level of at least 32 ng/ml and suggest that 800 to 1,000 IU or higher of vitamin D per day is required to main tain that healthy level. The formula adding Vitamin D3 can be considered as a bonus for this formula user since it is a necessary nutrient that almost most people are in shortage. While you improve the health benefits as stated before while you do not need to buy extra vitamin D3 supplement elsewhere as we provide in this formula at basic level unless you need much higher D3 intake for other specific reasons.*
